PELUM Association

Participatory Ecological Land Use Management (PELUM) Association is a network of Civil Society Organizations / NGOs working with Small-scale farmers in East, central and Southern Africa. The Association membership has grown from 25 pioneer members (in 1995) to over 277 members in 2017. PELUM Kenya is the Kenyan country chapter of the PELUM Association and has a membership of 55 member organizations.

Under the EOA Initiative, Pelum Kenya is coordinating Eastern African countries under support from SSNC. It is currently coordinating 2 Eastern African countries of Kenya and Ethiopia.

PELUM stands for Participatory Ecological Land Use Management (PELUM). It is a network of Civil Society Organizations / NGOs working with small-scale farmers in 10 countries across East, Central and Southern Africa. The Association membership has over 250 member organisations.  PELUM-Kenya is the Kenyan country chapter of the PELUM Association and has a membership of 44 member organizations. PELUM-Kenya has been involved in the EOA Initiative since inception, and was among the conveners of a workshop that led to its establishment.

PELUM Kenya Association also provides the Eastern Africa Regional secretariat to the Eastern Africa Regional Steering Committee of the Ecological Organic Agriculture
