Dr Janet Edeme– Head of Division, Rural Economy & Agriculture department (DREA) at AUC and Chair of Continental Steering Committee

Dr Edeme holds a B.Sc. in Botany from the University of Calabar in Nigeria, M.Sc. in Agricultural Biology (Plant Pathology) from the University of Ibadan, and Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from the University of Ibadan in conjunction with Texas A&M University, College Station, USA and the International Institute for Tropical Agriculture (IITA) in Ibadan, Nigeria. Dr David Amudavi – Executive Director of Biovision Africa Trust (BvAT) & EOA Project Coordinator

Dr. Amudavi has wide experience in the agricultural sector. Previously, he was a senior lecturer at Egerton University’s Department of Agricultural Education and Extension. He holds a Ph.D. in Adult and Extension Education with minors in Developmental Sociology and Natural Resource Management (NRM) from Cornell University in the USA; M.Sc. in Agricultural Science from The University of Melbourne University, Australia, and a B.Sc., in Agricultural Education and Extension from Egerton University, Kenya. Dr Amudavi was a postdoctoral fellow with ICIPE’s Push-pull project: ‘Creating smallholder led growth through ‘push-pull’ technologies in Eastern Africa.’ Dr. David Amudavi can be reached on damudavi@biovisionafrica.org

Venancia Wambua – Project Manager, EOA Initiative

Venancia is an ecologist with over 8 years’ experience in sustainable development in areas of agriculture, environment, livelihoods, policy and advocacy sectors. She holds a Master of Science in Range Management (Ecology) and a Bachelor of Science degree in Range Management from the University of Nairobi. Zachary Makanya – Coordinator, PELUM-Kenya Association
