In the life cycle of any project, there will almost always be unexpected problems and questions that crop up. When these issues arise, you have to be ready to deal with them – or they can potentially affect the project’s outcome. The EOA Initiative was having challenges in Mali – problems that arose from its multi-stockholder and public participation approach.
The National platform, Pillar Implementing Partners and the Country Lead Organization could not work together. However, following BvAT’s intervention, a stakeholder’s workshop/meeting was organized bringing together all the involved parties on 28th July in Mande Hotel in Bamako.
The meeting turned out to be a success; participants discussed the thorny issues affecting them and resolved them amicably. The meeting culminated in the selection of competent and all-reaching out Country Lead Organization (CLO) and Pillar Implementing Parners (PIPs).
A functional and competent team is now in place under the leadership of Association des Organizations Professionnelles Paysannes (AOPP) as the Country Lead Organisation (CLO)
